I'm back in New York City. I had alot of fun while I was home. As usual it's awesome to get to see my wonderful family. I really miss them already! I also enjoyed my fabulous friends. We had some good times. LPS! But, it's time to be back in the big apple. I have 2 weeks here to do whatever I wish. I'm looking forward to that. I will have a few friends in town to hang out with so that will be fun as well. I'm ready for classes to begin again. I love college life. It's a shame I only have 2.5 years left of it. Oh well, make the best of it while you can. I'm out!

My semester is finally done! This semester has been the best of my college career so far. I have done so much. I succesfully handled my heavy 18 hour load (that may not seem like alot but it's actually 12 classes). I worked hard and became a much better performer. I grew alot closer to old friends. I made new friends, one in particular who has made this semester alot better for me. I have had so much fun in this wonderful city. I feel so alive here. So in charge of everything. I feel strong, independant, and...real. It's hard to explain. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be here at this school performing along side some of the most talented people in the world. I love my life. This semester's been long and I'm looking forward to my break. I am home from Dec 21 - Jan 2. Then I come back to the city for 2 weeks of relaxation. I plan on sleeping in, going to the gym, and catching up on seeing broadway shows and operas!!! It's gonna be fun. So, let's just pray that I can make it to the airport tomorrow morning with the MTA strike going on!!

Mrs. Wilkinson:

Can I just ask you Billy, what does it feel like when you’re dancing?

Billy:

I can’t really explain it,

I haven’t got the words.

It’s a feeling that you can’t control.

I suppose it’s like forgettin,’

Losin’ who you are.

But at the same time, something makes you whole.

It’s like that there’s a music playin’ in your ear.

And I’m listenin’ and I’m listenin’

And then I disappear.

Then I feel a change,

Like a fire deep inside.

Something bursting me wide open,

Impossible to hide.

And suddenly I’m flyin’

Flyin’ like a bird.

Like electricity, electricity!

Sparks inside of me

And I’m free, I’m free!

My show opened this weekend and it went amazingly well. Friday night (opening night) was the first time we had run the show fully with every technical element intact. It was very nerve-wracking but it went really well. My mom really liked the show. The two Saturday show also went really well. Saturday night (closing night) was our best show. Good thing it was because that was the night all of our program heads came. People loved the show! I recieved some wonderful wonderful compliments. Everyone said I did an amazing job and that I made them cry. It was really nice to have all of our hard work appreciated. These compliments have made me feel really good about myself and were I am as a performer. I'm so glad I decided to do this play. I had an amazing time and it was a great experience. Now, I just have to get through finals! Oy!

I found out last night that my dad got an interview with JetBlue in January! I'm so excited. For those of you who are the praying type, please pray that this interview goes well and he can land this job. This is such a blessing for my family! I'm so excited.

In other news, The Laramie Project rehearsals are going well. We moved into the space last night. It was so nice to finally be on a stage and not in a classroom. We started using costumes and had some lights. We have two rehearsals left to pull this baby together. We can do it! It's gonna be good. At least I hope it is. My mom's coming up to see it, so that's exciting. Hopefully we can go Xmas shopping while she's here.Gotta love Christmas time in the city.
